Abstract: An algorithm for optimal boiler load allocation is compared with a sub-optimal algorithm and with equal load distribution. Advantages and disadvantages of the optimal and sub-optimal algorithms are discussed, and by a practical example it is demonstrated that the optimal algorithm may give substantial cost reductions.
